Vivek Oberoic wrote an emotional note when his next film Kaduva, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, was postponed for a week. Prithviraj Sukumaran had announced the delay in a post on Monday that read: “Bigger the dreams, bigger the obstacles. Stronger the enemies, harder the battle! #KADUVA release has been postponed by a week to 07/07/2022 due to unforeseen circumstances. We will continue with all promotional activities as planned and remain confident in all your love and support for this massive action entertainer.” The actor also apologized to fans, distributors and theater owners around the world for the delay.
Vivek Oberoi, who plays the antagonist in the film, responded to Prithviraj’s message on his Twitter account on Tuesday. He wrote: “I feel your pain and disappointment, brother, we are all in this together. You have 100% of my support as always! With the love and prayers of all fans and support of all our distributors and theaters, #Kaduva will not NOBODY CAN CAGE THIS TIGER! Soon roaring in the cinema!”
Kaduva, which means tiger in Malayalam, is also a short form of the name of Prithviraj’s character in the film. It stars Samyukhta Menon opposite him. Vivek Oberoi plays Deputy Inspector General of Police Joesph Chandy. Set in the 1990s, the film revolves around Kaduva, an influential rubber planter, and his rivalry with Viveks Joseph.
The film also stars James Elias Manjiledathu, Seema, Janardhanan, Priyanka Nair, Sudev Nair, Aju Varghese and Dileesh Pothan in pivotal roles. Prithviraj’s wife Supriya Menon produced the film under their Prithviraj Productions banner, in association with Listin Stephen of Magic Frames.
