Vijay DeverakondaEvery look at Liger’s promotions proved that he is a game for everyone. His first Pan-India movie, as we all know, is causing a lot of buzz ahead of its release. He had visited one city a day for a month and was treated to his sartorial coolness. “VD does everything with ease and softness,” says his stylist Harmann Kaur.
Pumped by the excitement of his film’s release, Arjun Reddy’s star wore outfit combinations from streetwear to royal sherwani. “With the Liger promotions, we started with the basics and looks that capture the essence of the character he plays in Liger, and gradually moved on to different styles based on the city and the nature of the event we were attending While doing this, we made sure there was no repetition and kept things fresh and interesting,” said Harmann, who has worked with Vijay Deverakonda for the past few years.
For Vijay it’s all about pushing the boundaries and during Liger Promotions, he tested new boundaries from wearing Rs 199 chappal to looking charming in a black pathani. “Every look was defined by him. He is very clear with the vibe and vision he wants to execute. This kind of clarity is constructive for me as a stylist to deliver a definitive look. We plan our looks in advance, most of the looks ahead As I said before, Vijay’s assignment will come as soon as a performance is scheduled,” the stylist adds.
During his visit to Warangal, in Telangana, VD wore a black pathani suit. He opted for a black kurta with sleeves and dhoti pants from Kunal Rawal. Black lace-up boots, a gold chain and a bold beard look completed his traditional ensemble.
“When you are in Punjab, eat and dress like Punjabis.” For his Liger tour in North, the Dear Comrade star wore a three-piece outfit by Anamika Khanna. He paired a long kurta with a classic embroidered Nehru jacket and dhoti. He not only wore the outfit, but even drove the tractor on it.
For another promotion day, he wore an exaggerated silhouette of Manish Malhotra. He wore a lightweight jacket with slimmer separates.
