Rumor has it that Vijay is dating Rashmika Mandanna. While the two have never confirmed these reports, Vijay’s Liger co-star Ananya Panday dropped an important hint about the two of them dating while performing on Koffee With Karan.
Speaking about love and relationships in a recent interview with GQ, Vijay said, “I am someone who loves to be in love. I believe in love stories. They are my happy place. But I’m also afraid of heartbreak. So far, that hasn’t happened.” He went on to reveal that although his heart has never been broken, he broke the hearts of others by not letting them come near them, because of advice his father had given him.
He explained: “Growing up, my father taught me that love is bullshit and money is the center of this world… This was so ingrained in me that when I grew up I didn’t believe in relationships. I started out.” to believe that whoever came to me came with a need. When someone said they love me, I never said I love you too. Until today, things don’t come as naturally as they should.” The actor also shared that his approach to love changed after he got into a “long relationship” with a woman after becoming an actor, but he declined to reveal the person’s name.
Vijay will soon be seen as an MMA fighter in Liger, a sports action movie written and directed by Puri Jagannadh that will mark his Bollywood debut. The film, starring Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishna and Ronit Roy, is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 25.
