The sports drama Liger hit theaters yesterday, August 25. As movie buffs pass judgment on Puri Jagannadh’s directing, let’s see what Vijay has to say about working with legendary boxer Mike Tyson. Talking about the action entertainer to IANS, the star of Arjun Reddy revealed: “He abused me a lot, albeit lovingly, in English, and I can’t even repeat what he said to me. But yes, I had a good time with him.”
Vijay Deverakonda went on to say that Mike Tyson likes Indian food and that music isn’t too fond of the crowds here. He was quoted saying, “He loves India a lot because of the food, the music and the people. He even asked us to bring Indian food for him, which he enjoyed very much. But yes, he is afraid of the crowd here .”
If we are to believe the reports, the Liger makers have already made a deal with an OTT platform for the streaming rights of the film. Reports suggest that the streaming giants paid a whopping amount for the rights; however, the exact amount has not been disclosed. The OTT premiere date for liger
has not yet been announced.
While Vijay Deverakonda plays an MMA performer with a stammering problem in the project, Ananya Panday is seen as his love interest. Apart from these two, the company has Ramya Krishnan as the main character’s mother and Ronit Roy as its coach. In addition, Vishu Reddy, Ali, Makarand Deshpande and Getup Srinu also feature prominently in the film.
