Trading experts worldwide are predicting that the film will hit the $300 million mark by the end of Sunday. This will make it one of the most successful films of the year. Thor: Love and Thunder, directed by Taika Waititi, is part of phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe† It brings Chris back in his fourth solo adventure as the God of Thunder. Also be recurring Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson, while Christian Bale makes his MCU debut as the villain Gorr the God Butcher. The film was released in theaters in India and select other territories on Thursday, while it had its worldwide release on Friday.
According to a report in Box Office India, the film saw a healthy 50% jump from Friday to Saturday, earning 17 crore on the day, with its three-day collections in India to 47 million. The predictions that the extended weekend could bring the film as much as 70 crore, a significant amount for a Hollywood release.
The film is also doing quite well outside India. In North America, the film has already crossed the $100 million mark, according to a report from Deadline. Another report from the publication states that the superhero adventure has also grossed more than $100 million internationally. This also includes the approximately $6 million from India. According to the reports, the film will hit the $300 million mark in terms of worldwide grossing by the end of Sunday.
