the boys has turned out to be one of the biggest shows for Amazon Prime Video, and fans of the series are excited to see The Boys’ universe expand further with its upcoming spin-off, The Boys Presents: Varsity. According to Deadline, showrunner Eric Kripke has now confirmed that there will be a crossover between the original series and the spin-off show.

Speaking to Deadline, he revealed, “There’s definitely a crossover and we’re doing our best to design a universe where some of the issues and storylines in Season 3 carry over into Season 1 in Varsity.” He also discussed how things will merge with season 4 of The Boys, adding: “Like there’s a presidential campaign going on in the background of that season, and there are certain things that happen at that school that are both in response to Season 3 from The Boys. There’s Soldier Boy and so on, but also some new storylines taking place in that season of the spin-off that we need to pick up and take into season 4 of the show.”

The Boys recently premiered with the Season 3 finale, and the third season has received positive reviews from critics and fans alike. In the final, Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) became more powerful than ever after charting her path to become Vice President of the United States. It was also interesting to see Homelander’s (Antony Starr) journey in the third season and his relationship with his son Ryan.

As for the spin-off show, The Boys Presents: Varsity is currently in production and has no release date yet.
