Actor Sonakshi Sinha is enjoying the current phase of her career with various projects that are part of her work profile, and she wants the focus on her work to be above her personal life. She is aware of the constant mumbling and rumor about her marriage, but she happily laughs it off, saying that her parents are never that curious about her wedding plans.
“I’ve always maintained that when people talk about me, people prefer to talk about my work (rather than my personal life). But of course people are curious. They want to know what’s going on in my life and they can speculate what they want,” Sonakshi said.
The 35-year-old actor continues: “Until I’m not ready to share my life with the world, I won’t. I’ve always been that person. And that shows on my social media too. It reflects in the places where I go, or where I am seen and where I am not seen. It is very easy for me to balance that. I will only share with the world what I want to share and nothing else”.
Such is the balance that the daughter of actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha always try to add to her life. “It’s important as a person to protect certain parts of yourself. Because I don’t want to be available to everyone all the time,” adds Sonakshi, who entered Bollywood in 2010 with dabang.
List the questions about her marriage and husband on search engines, Sonakshi chuckles and replies, ‘Even my parents don’t ask me about my marriage as much as the media and the public. Even my parents don’t suffer as much as they do.”
Right now, Sonakshi is excited when people look at the projects she’s worked on, from a horror comedy Kakuda to her web debut with a thriller, Dahaad. “You won’t be disappointed. I think you’ll be very happy to see me play such characters,” said the actor, who has appeared in projects such as Rowdy Rathore, Lootera and Vacation: A soldier is never off duty, and Kalank.
Sonakshi talks about the projects: “I really enjoy my job and whatever I do. I’ve worked on three very drastically different projects in the past year. I loved playing all these different people in just one year.”
For her, getting different roles keeps her excited about her profession.
“I’m a Gemini, so I get bored very easily. I have to keep doing something to make sure I stay interested in whatever happens. So this is how I do it. In this way I remain immersed in my work. That’s how I keep myself excited in every role I do. It’s very important to diversify into different things,” she says, opting out.
