In a recently surfaced video, actor Salman Khan has jokingly said that the popular song Oo Antava from the popular Telugu movie Pushpa: The Rise “inspired” him. The video caught the attention of Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who featured the song. Pushpa: The Rise with star Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. The film was a blockbuster that more than deserved 364 crore, and Samantha’s special song was a hit, adding to the film’s popularity. In a video from IIFA 2022 posted Sunday by a fan account on Twitter, Salman is seen giving an interview when asked if there is a movie or song from the past year that has inspired him in any way. Once the question is done, Salman starts singing Pushpa’s popular song Oo Antava before smiling and walking away. The short video was widely shared on the platform by fans and even caught the attention of Samantha Ruth Prabhuwhich was featured in the popular song.
Samantha shared the video and added some heart emojis as text. Fans of both actors reacted to the recognition and many asked the actors to collaborate. “This would be a dream collaboration,” one fan tweeted. Another even came up with a contraction for them, writing, “We want Sal-mantha.”
Oo Antava was Samantha’s first time doing a dance number in a movie and Allu Arjun later revealed that he was hesitant to approach her, thinking she would turn down the offer outright. He later thanked Samantha for being a part of the song and the movie. The song, sung by Indravathi Chauhan and choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, was a huge hit across the country.
