He added that Ketan’s posts are not only defamatory and derogatory against him, but also communally biased and create a communal divide. The case will be heard on August 22 by a single judge of Bombay HC, Justice CV Bhadang.

Earlier, in March, the Sessions Court refused to issue an injunction against Ketan in the defamation lawsuit filed by Salman over the former’s social media posts. The verdict of Sessions Court Judge AH Laddhad was handed down on March 23, the detailed verdict of which came later. The verdict noted that Ketan had posted evidence such as complaints and causation notices to Salman about the actor’s allegations of breaches of his Panvel property, the 100-acre farm, in the public interest as a “whistleblower.”

Notably, Ketan has alleged that he and his wife had bought/purchased a certain plot of land near Salman’s farm in or about 1995 for the construction of a house, ashram, temple, etc. Ketan also claimed that it was his Allotted land was reportedly canceled by Maharashtra’s forest department on behalf of and in collusion with Sa, and also said access and exit to his plot of land had been illegally obtained and blocked by the construction of a gate. Ketan has also said that he built an eco-friendly Ganesh temple, access to the same temple is also said to have been blocked and the said temple has been seized/appropriated by Salman’s family.

Salman claimed in his complaint that the defendants are in fact inciting community violence and Hindu-Muslim hatred by making provocative, baseless and false statements based on religion, which are absolutely irrelevant and absurd.
