After his tragic death, Ray Liotta‘s co-stars of his last completed project remember the veteran actor at the project’s premiere, black bird† In a recent conversation with ET, on the red carpet for the event, the stars opened up about their memories of the celebrated actor.
During the interview, Taron Egerton who plays Ray Liotta’s son on the series, recalled the actor’s passion for the script and talked about the deep on-screen relationship they shared. Egerton reminisced: “I just fell in love with him right away.” He further recalled: “We developed a very, very, very close bond and I had a very special time filming those scenes. I’m really happy with how they turned out.”
Another star from the show, Paul Walter Houser walked the carpet in a T-shirt with Liotta’s Field of dreams character on it as a tribute to the late actor. Houser commented that he was a big fan of Liotta’s work: “So many great performances he left behind. It was super cool to meet him, he was very generous and funny.” He continued: “Ray is just one of those guys — he just can’t not be Ray. He’s kind of funny without knowing he’s funny sometimes. It was a real pleasure to be with him for such a short time. “
Greg Kinnear shared how he was a fan of Liotta even before his own career took off. He recalled, “Long before I was an actor, I saw a Jonathan Demme movie, Something Wild, and it became one of my favorite movies.” Kinnear praised Liotta, adding, “Ray Liotta was a force of nature in that movie, I’ve watched it my entire career. It was so exciting to have him in this.”
