Ranbir Kapoor has delivered a number of critically acclaimed blockbusters in its 15-year career. The actor has also delivered some flops. However, he said he has no regrets about his roles or failures and that he does not want to protect his children from them. Ranbir and Alia Bhatt are expecting their first child together. In a recent interview, Ranbir expressed his excitement and nervousness about fatherhood, revealing how he will discuss movies with his children. During the conversation, the actor also revealed that his and Alia Bhatti‘s children will address him as ‘daddy’.

Ranbir told PTI about his feelings as he prepares to become a parent for the first time: “I feel grateful, excited, nervous and terrified. Because I have so many expectations of myself and of this relationship and of what I want from it and what I want to give… These are the only adjectives I can use.”

Ranbir, who started his acting career with the 2007 film Saawariya, was last seen in the 2018 film Sanju, an actor biopic. Sanjay Dutt. He has prepared Shamshera and Brahmastra for release. The actor said that he has always made a conscious choice about the roles he chooses, and therefore is not ashamed to show his future children one of his films.

He said: “I’m always conscious because I know society is affected by it. I won’t do anything to belittle anyone or anyone for the sake of entertainment. That’s my personality. I don’t regret or be ashamed of any movie whatever I did. I don’t think there’s a movie I would want to protect them (children) from. I believe failures are just as important as successes. I’d like to hear them say that ‘Dad, that was such a bad movie’ and probably laughing with them or ‘daddy that was so much fun’ and being really happy with it.”

Shamshera, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor, is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 22. Brahmastra, Ranbir’s first film starring Alia, is expected to release on September 9. The actor recently completed shooting for Luv Ranjan’s self-titled film starring opposite Shraddha Kapoor. He also has Animal opposite Rashmika Mandanna in the pipeline.
