Ranbir Kapoor has said he wants audiences to experience Brahmastra in theaters without getting spoilers beforehand. Brahmastra Part One-Shiva was released in theaters worldwide on September 9. Before that, lead actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt and director Ayan Mukerji attended a special screening where they watched the film with their fans and interacted with them as well. At the screening, Ranbir also asked the audience not to reveal any spoilers about Brahmastra on social media before it’s released in theaters and others can watch it too. A small clip of the screening surfaced on the internet, in which Ranbir stood in front of the screen with a microphone while Brahmastra credits ran on it.
To cheers from the fans, Ranbir said: “So just one request. Jo bhi thode bahot spoilers hain is film ke (whatever spoilers there are in this movie), please don’t try to post on social media. Because you don’t know the audience that seen, would like to experience it.”
As soon as the Brahmastra teaser came out, fans started guessing the hidden details about the film and even managed to successfully identify them. Shah Rukh Khan in his cameo role as Vanarastra. More details about the film have surfaced on social media since its theater release.
Brahmastra, who also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy posted a very strong box office opening. It collected 75 crore worldwide on opening day, including a 47 domestic gross. After the opening of the bumper, theaters introduced early morning and late night shows of the film amid huge demand. The new slots will allow the film to run for nearly 21 hours on some screens, starting at 6am and ending at 3am the following morning, with seven back-to-back shows. It comes after a dry spell for Bollywood, where many of the big releases, including Ranbir’s Shamshera, stopped at the box office.
