Alia Bhatt responded Tuesday to a news story that claimed the actor would finish shooting her ongoing projects Heart Of Stone and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani by mid-July so her pregnancy wouldn’t affect her work commitments. The report hinted that actor Ranbir Kapoor could travel to the UK to ‘bring his wife home’. Parts Alia BhattiOn Instagram Stories, where she responded to a report saying she planned her pregnancy so as not to affect her work, Zara and Durefishan said women don’t have to prove their motherhood or talent to anyone. Zara, who reportedly had a miscarriage in 2021, wrote on her Instagram Stories that she could relate to Alia’s experience and talked about how brands wanted to drop her after she announced her pregnancy.
“I thought that only Pakistan thinks that way, especially when brands wanted to drop me, when they heard I was pregnant. Getting pregnant and being an actress makes society feel like you’re not good for work anymore. Well guess what “Women are good enough for anything and everything and it’s time the dictators realized that. We don’t have to prove our motherhood and craftsmanship to a patriarchy,” Zara wrote while sharing Alia’s original post.
Durefishan also responded to Alia’s response, saying that people should “stop telling women” what to do after marriage. “We can get married / have babies and still be amazing. Marriage is a part of life, unstoppable. Stop telling women their career goals don’t align,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories.

The mother-to-be is reportedly set to return to Mumbai in mid-July. It is also reported that Ranbir Kapoor could go to the UK. to bring his wife home. Alia announced on Instagram on Monday that she and Ranbir had their first child together. Alia shared the couple’s photo from an ultrasound session, captioning her message, “Our baby… is coming.” The two married in April in an intimate wedding. Alia and Ranbir will be seen together for the first time in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastrawhich will hit theaters on September 9. Another upcoming project of Alia’s, Heart Of Stone, will see her alongside Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan.
