Kareena KapoorThe two sons of Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan may be only five and one, but the two have already been dubbed “media darlings.” The two-star kids are often paparazzi’s favorites, and over the years Kareena says the spotlight on them has started to annoy her. Taimur and Jehangir (Jeh for short) are Kareena’s children with her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan. Taimur was born in 2016 and Jeh in 2021. Kareena and Saif tied the knot in 2012 after dating for a few years. The couple was popular among the paparazzi and that popularity has now spread to their children.

In an interview with ETimes, Kareena spoke of paparazzi clicking on her kids, saying, “As much as they should teach us to respect, I can’t keep telling them the same thing over and over. And I think they should have a certain kind of respect too, because we give them a lot of respect I don’t stop them from taking pictures of my kids so they need to understand that a line has to be drawn too So when you get your pictures from the airport or whatever is constantly clicking on them, is something I don’t like. But I think they kind of understood that. So we have this comparison with the paparazzi. I think they also respect the fact that we gave them that picture, so now they can withdraw. I really appreciate that they are doing that.”

Taimur, in particular, has noticed and been rattled by this spotlight, Kareena added. ‘He doesn’t like it. The idea is that his parents are famous. He tells me you and abba are famous but why do they like to take pictures of me. Because I’m not famous. And I told him that yes, you are not famous, you are nobody; so he is still figuring out why they are taking his pictures. Sure he gets a little upset, he’s only five and a half and he gets clicked all the time, but we’ve also been open about it because I can’t stop it. Everyone looks at him like a star. But he’s not a star, he’s an innocent kid, he has no idea, as long as he can live his life,” Kareena added.

Kareena will next be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, which will be released on Friday, August 11. The film stars Aamir Khan with Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in pivotal roles. The film, directed by Advait Chandan, is the official remake of Tom Hanks’ 1994 film Forrest Gump.
