Dobaaraa received a resounding answer after the screening. Speaking about the film’s premiere at the event, Taapsee said: “I’m thrilled that the film is showing here in Australia a week before its release in India. I hope everyone sees and appreciates the film, it is a very new genre and concept of time travel and parallel universe that is being experimented with for the first time in the Hindi film industry.”

Dobaaraa is scheduled for a worldwide release on August 19. It is the second film of Taapsee and Pavail together, following the 2020 film Thappad. Dobaaraa also marks the third collaboration between Anurag and Taapsee after the 2018 film Manmarziyaan and the 2019 film Saand Ki Aankh, on which he worked as a producer.

The 13th edition of IFFM will take place in the Victorian capital from August 12-20, both in person and virtually, from August 12-20, 2022 in person and August 13-31 virtually. For the past two years, it has only been held in virtual form. It is the only Indian film festival to be supported by the government.
