The first issue of Ek Villain Returns, titled Galliyan Returns, was released Monday by T-Series. Like the movie, Galliyan Returns takes its name from the Galliyan song in the original Ek Villain movie. It’s also a rebooted version of the same song. While Galliyan was on display Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor, Galliyan Returns is depicted on John Abraham and Disha Pataniand Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria. The music video started with Disha Patani and John Abraham romance in the rain, and Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria in love at a concert. However, unlike the original Galliyan song in which Sidharth helped Shraddha complete her bucket list, this version immediately gets darker. There are a few scenes of romance and intimacy mixed with some glimpses of violence and blood. At one point, Disha exchanges a wicked smile with Arjun as she hugs John.

The song is sung and composed by Ankit Tiwari while the lyrics are written by Manoj Muntashir.

Ek Villain, which came out in 2014, starred Sidharth Malhotra as Guru, a criminal who reforms after falling in love with Shraddha Kapoorit’s Aisha. Riteish Deshmukh played Rakesh Mahadkar, a serial killer. The trailer for Ek Villain Returns, released last week, showed Arjun Kapoor and John Abraham fighting each other with no clarity as to the real villain between them.

Set eight years after the events of Ek Villain, the film stars Arjun Kapoor opposite Tara Sutaria, and John opposite Disha. It introduced a new villain targeting women who have “one-sided” lovers, but there’s tension over whether it’s John or Arjun. The action thriller, which, like the first film, will be directed by Mohit Suri, is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 29.
