After Chris Hemsworth, another Chris from Hollywood has spoken about how their tenure with the Marvel Cinematic Universe may soon end. Chris Pratt played Peter Quill aka Star Lord in the MCU, who appeared in the two Guardians of the Galaxy movies, apart from two Avengers titles. However, in a recent interview, Chris said that while he may not want to, his role will be ending soon. Also read: Chris Hemsworth hints he might be done as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Chris will appear as Star Lord in at least two upcoming movies. He and the rest of the Guardians will be featured in Thor: Love and Thunder, out this Thursday. Following this, he will be featured in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, to be released in May 2023 miracle future is uncertain.

Chris recently told Men’s Health: “(I) don’t really know what’s coming. You asked if I was deliberately turning a page or not. The page is turning. Whether I like it or not. Because the franchises are over.”

The actor gave an example of American Football player Russell Wilson, who recently left Chris’s favorite team, saying that moments when something ends hit him harder than usual. He said, “You want to be aware and put in a lot of effort to experience the moment. Like, this is going away. I want to record it. You can’t take it any harder than just being there. So I’m present. Recently, Russell Wilson, the Seattle Seahawks quarterback, traded to Denver. He’s been with Seattle for about ten years. That’s been about the length of this (his Guardians stint). I thought, ‘Wait, wait a minute, what’s up? happened?’ The emotion of the past ten years is kind of coming to an end. I was in the most embarrassing way, like, ‘My quarterback is leaving, so I’m going to cry.’ It touches me at times like that.”

Earlier, Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor in the MCU, had also hinted that Love and Thunder could be his last film. Marvel Studios has been steadily introducing newer and younger heroes to take over the franchise over the years, and many insiders feel this means the older, more established stars will gradually find their way out.
