Actor-dancer Dilsha Prasannan has been declared the winner of Bigg Boss Malayalam 4 after the grand final on Sunday 3 July. host mohanlal handed out the trophy and 50 lakh cash prize for Disha at the final. Disha was the first finalist of the season and received the most votes of the last six contestants. The other five contestants were Riyas Salim, Blesslee, Lakshmi Priya, Sooraj Thelakkad and Dhanya Mary Varghese. With this, Disha has become the first female winner of the Malayalam edition of the reality TV series.

During the finale, the dancer thanked her fans for their support, saying: “I wondered if I would survive the 100 days of this show. For days I didn’t know what I wanted to do in the show. But, “I just decided to And I got a lot of support.”

Blesslee became the first runner-up of the show. The musician congratulated Dilsha with a post on his Instagram account after she lifted the trophy. Blesslee shared a photo of the two together on Instagram Stories, writing, “All the very best first lady Bigg Boss”, adding a red heart emoji.

Previously, Bigg Boss Malayalam’s last two seasons before the final were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The second season premiered in January 2020, but was shelved in March of that year due to the coronavirus outbreak. No contestant was declared a winner.

The final season, which aired in February 2021, was canceled midway through the second wave of the pandemic, while the creators were fined. Manikuttan was announced as the winner later in August based on the public vote. The fourth season with 20 participants was launched on March 27 with the tagline ‘new normal’.
