Bhoot Police was released on September 10, 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar. The movie played Saif Ali KhanArjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Yami Gautam Dhar and Javed Jaffrey.
During a new interview with Bollywood Hungama, Arjun said: “So during the lockdown I sat at home and signed Bhoot Police and we went to Dharamshala for the filming. The first stage was in Dalhousie. I estimate it will be 6 months after the lockdown in 2020 At the time, my confidence was very low. My movie Panipat didn’t do well at the box office, theaters were closed and the industry was locked up. And that was the first time since the lockdown that I went out to get a film. I went there very confused. I wasn’t sure I could do it.”
He added: “So when I reached Dalhousie the army had a barricade to enter Dalhousie and I was lost in my thoughts, when my car got there and the man looked at me he said ‘Aray Arjun Kapoor how are you okay sir, i saw your movie gunday’. that’s when i realized this is the audience i work for. they don’t care if my movie didn’t work. mein itna toota hua tha itna under confident tha and uss aadmi se mila aur usne 3 minute bait ki (i was so broken and then low self confidence and i talked to him for 3 minutes) and his words gave me the strength to make that movie i could make a whole movie knowing that “My audience remembers me like that, that’s not an agenda. He gave a normal response. It’s the biggest victory in my ten-year career that an army officer in Dalhousie knows me, he loves my job.”
