Anupam Chero wants to help man who allegedly carries his blind mother on his shoulder to several pilgrimages. The actor responded to a viral post that talks about a man allegedly named Kailash Giri Brahmachari. He is called the modern Shravan Kumar, based on a popular Indian story of a man who carried his blind parents on his shoulders to a pilgrimage. His viral photo shows him in a loincloth, with a bamboo on his shoulders with two baskets attached. His mother is seen sitting in one of the baskets, while their luggage is kept in the other basket.
Anupam shared the photo of that man, writing on Twitter Monday: “The description in the photo is humble! Pray it’s true! So if anyone can find the whereabouts of this man, please let us know. The @anupamcares will be honored to sponsor all his lifelong trips with his mother to a pilgrimage in the country. #MondayMotivation.”
The fans of Anupam were also impressed by the man. One fan wrote: “Just pause and watch this man who, instead of having nothing, does not itch and does his duty as a son, while we are confused by the slightest hardship in life; Biggest regards to modern day Shrawan Kumar and respect to @AnupamPKher for extending the helping hand.” Another said: “Aaj ke Shravan Kumar ….
