The veteran actor, who revealed his diagnosis in a tweet on Tuesday night, shared an extensive blog about it on his Tumblr account on Wednesday. He began his note by thanking those who sent him their concern, prayers, and love.

Amitabh wrote on his blog: “Yes despite all the precautions and the dosage to prevent it … the injection one and two and the booster after that … the concern not to be in the presence of public places … Covid – 19 won and came out victorious! To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement…it’s the care I bring to those close and dear.”

The actor also shared his concerns about stopping the shooting of Kaun Banega Crorepati. He currently hosts the quiz show’s 14th season. He wrote: “The sudden problems of the work front and their adjustments, if at all possible, of how to make up for lost time, especially in the matter of the TV program which, as we well know, takes a huge amount of time and energy to coordinate and set up… it is the helplessness that permeates the system… and the assurance many give that all will be well is the bravest of them… fruiting.”

The 79-year-old added that he finds it “pointless” to share details of his medical condition. He wrote: “I don’t intend to give health bulletins…but yes I will and I should keep you guys posted…what that update will be will be my privilege…hahahahahahaha.”

Amitabh had battled the coronavirus in 2020 and even had to be hospitalized for a few weeks. His son Abhishek Bachchan was the first in the family to test positive, after which his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai was also diagnosed with the disease.
